Frequently Asked Questions for Customers Ordering an Audi Online
Why order a car online?
Convenience Ordering a car online is a new way for you to begin the sales journey with a dealer by transacting remotely. Start the conversation at a time and place that suits you. Your dealer will then discuss options for completing the journey online, or face-to-face.
Flexibility Your dealer will confirm availability of the car you ordered and hold it for a minimum of 3 business days while you move through the sales journey together. If you change your mind, you can cancel the online order prior to entering into a purchase agreement with your dealer and receive a full refund of your holding fee. You can also request an extension to the minimum 3 business day holding period if you need more time to finalise your purchase.
Simplicity It should only take around 5 minutes to order your ideal Audi by completing our simple online order form that includes payment of a refundable $500 holding fee to your dealer.
What do I need to pay when ordering a new car online?
A holding fee of $500 is payable to the selling dealer through the online form. This is required for the dealer to hold a car for the minimum 3 business days after you have submitted your order (subject to the dealer confirming availability of your selected car). If you proceed with a sale, the dealer will deduct your holding fee from the final purchase price agreed between you and the dealer.
Can I negotiate the price?
The pricing displayed for a new car listed on the Audi Stock Locator is the Manufacturer’s Recommended Drive Away Price¹ at the time of publishing for that particular car (including any additional options and other features installed in the car). For pre-owned and demonstrator vehicles, the price displayed is the Dealer List Price as determined by the dealer at the time of publishing. All representations of Dealer List Price on the Audi Australia website and Online Order Form are based on information received by Audi Australia from the listed dealer. Audi Australia makes no representations or warranties as to the accuracy of that information. You can negotiate the final sale price of a vehicle as well as trade-in value and financing options directly with the selling dealer at any point prior to entering into a sale agreement.
What if I have a trade-in?
We provide a simple trade-in form that you can complete as part of the online ordering process. Once you have submitted your online order, the selling dealer will contact you to discuss how they can help with your trade-in as part of the sales journey.
What if I change my mind?
The selling dealer can apply your $500 holding fee to another car they have available (or will have available) and hold it for a minimum of 3 business days. Alternatively, if you decide not to proceed with a purchase (or the holding period expires), the selling dealer will cancel your order and provide a full refund of your $500 holding fee.
Can I finance my new Audi?
Audi Financial Services offers finance solutions for purchases of our cars, subject to finance approval. You can express your interest in Audi Financial Services as part of the online order process and the selling dealer will provide more information on available rates.
When will my new Audi be ready to collect?
The selling dealer can provide timings for when a specific car will be available for delivery.
Do I have to visit the dealership?
No. For your convenience, your dealer will gladly discuss alternative options for completing the sale process online, or face-to-face. This includes delivering a car to your home for a test-drive if available.
What if I have any other questions?
If you have any specific questions regarding the process for online ordering and purchasing, please contact your preferred Audi dealer who will gladly assist.
¹The MRDP is for the vehicle in the configuration and with each of the options and other features installed in the vehicle as available for sale from the listed dealer (includes Recommended Dealer Delivery Charge, Government taxes and statutory charges) at the time of publishing and based on the State or Territory where the Dealer is located. If you register the vehicle in a different State or Territory, the MRDP may vary from that above as a result of differences in price components such as stamp duty or registration fees. The MRDP is based on the owner being a 'rating one' driver aged 40 with good driving record. Actual drive away price is subject to agreement with the selling dealer and will differ depending on choice of dealer and individual circumstances. The final drive away price payable by you for the Vehicle, as well as any trade-in value, financing options and other transaction costs, will be agreed between you and your selected Audi Dealer at the time when you enter into the Dealer Sales Contract. We note that on road costs are constantly changing and depend on many factors, such as your registration address, vehicle usage and licence plate type. The final drive away price will be set out in the Dealer Sales Contract and may be different from the MRDP shown in the Online Order Form (Final Purchase Price). Once you enter into the Dealer Sales Contract, the amount of the Holding Fee will be applied towards payment of the Final Purchase Price and thereby reduce your payment obligations under the Dealer Sales Contract.
